    Shine99 – WILO

    WSHW, “Shine 99″ is an FM radio station owned by Kaspar Broadcasting in Frankfort, Indiana. The station operates on the FM radio frequency of 99.7 MHz. The station is located at 1401 W. Barner St. in Frankfort. Tower and transmitter are located off State Road 26 in rural Northeastern Clinton County near the Howard County line.

    The radio station currently broadcasts Adult Contemporary music (AC) and is programmed by Randy Lawson; owned and operated by Vern and Russell Kaspar.

    WILO is the AM side of the house and transmits on 1570. Part of a new genre of radio stations called America’s Best Music. This is an eclectic mix of music from 40’s to the present with minimal interruption.

    St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital

    IN 1899, Dr. R.F. Palmer provided Clinton County with its first private hospital, located on the southwest corner of Clinton and Columbia Streets. The staff consisted of Dr. Palmer and Dr. Omer Oliphant, two nurses and a cook.

    Due to the increasing need for hospital care in the community, a new county hospital was built on the site of the present hospital in 1922. An addition was built onto the structure in 1953, with another addition built in 1979. At that time, the 1953 addition was renovated and the original 1922 structure was demolished. In 1995, a 10,000 square foot addition was built to accommodate increased outpatient flow and to create a more effective and efficient health services environment.

    In March 2000, Clinton County Hospital became St.Vincent Frankfort Hospital and part of Central Indiana Health Systems and Ascension Health. St.Vincent Frankfort Hospital continues its commitment to quality medical and surgical care. From home-like birthing rooms to modern diagnostic equipment, St.Vincent Frankfort Hospital provides the latest technology available.

    St.Vincent Frankfort Hospital is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital. Specialized services at the hospital include radiology, laboratory, 24 hour emergency department, critical care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an OB unit.
