What:This is a beginner class to introduce the student to Digital Photography. Upon completion of this class the student will be familiar with commonly used features of Digital Photography: Camera Features, Lighting, Picture Quality and more. Open your new camera or dust off the old one! Taught by Purdue Professor Steven Smith.

Strategic Problem-Solving Workshop
What:Learn proven problem-solving techniques that add value to your business. This one-day workshop provides the background and skills necessary to lead an effective, team-based, analytical approach that detects potential issues and thus alleviates chronic “failures” within an organization.

Community Event “Work Smarter, Not Harder”
What:Learn how to avoid repetitive stress injury and other common work-related, preventable conditions from Dr. Rob Stuthridge (M.Sc., Ph.D.) who is an ergonomist with the National AgrAbility Project through the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Purdue University.

Friday, Feb. 24 @ noon— Rob Stuthridge, ergonomist from Purdue’s AgrAbility, will speak @ the Chamber Board Room about how to “Work Smarter, Not Harder” (a program that you can bring to your employees as part of your employee wellness plan). Lunch provided by Purdue Extension’s Learning Network.

2012 ServSafe – Food Managers Certification
What:NEW Fifth Edition Book with new 2009 FDA codes. Presented by Purdue Extension’s Learning Network of Clinton County and the Tippecanoe & Clinton County Health Depts.
Where:Two-session class and exam at Purdue Extension Learning Network1111 S. Jackson St., Frankfort.
When:Session One: March 16, 2012 2:30-4:00 p.m. Session Two: Friday, March, 23, 2012
How Much: $150 includes book, instruction and exam—and both days of instruction or $60 for exam only on March 23 (must use the 5th edition book). Class size is limited! Prepayment by Mar. 9 will guarantee you a book and exam.
Adult Computer Restoration Workshop
What: In this workshop for adults, not only will you learn how to refurbish a computer, but you will get hands on experience doing it! You’ll learn everything from the physical components of a typical desktop to how to install Windows XP.
When: Tuesday & Thursday, March 20 & 22, 6-8 p.m.
Where: The basement of the Purdue Extension office (1111 S. Jackson St., Frankfort)
How Much:$25 per person for both days of instruction
Reality Spanish for All
What: Always wanted to learn Spanish as a second language or as a way to connect with co-workers, neighbors, or friends? Join this community Spanish class (open to all ages—even families) where we’ll learn everyday phrases and commands, using gestures, that will help you remember what you’ve learned–and use it—long after the class is over.
When:Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon. – April 14 to May 19
Where:Basement of the Purdue Extension office (1111 S. Jackson St., Frankfort)
Cost: $150 per individual, $200 per couple/two immediate family members, or $50 dollars as a refresher course. Includes one set of materials (DVD, CD-ROM, lesson plans and workbook) for new students.
Amigo Hour
What: Put your second-language skills into practice by conversing with native speakers! All participants will be assigned to tables with speakers of another language with instructors who will facilitate a discussion among them. Each session will be different—with rounds of speed networking, recipe swapping, etc. Don’t miss out on the fun!
When:Sundays, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
