Planning is the Key to Unlock Our Future

Can you imagine saving month after month and year after year for your dream home. Carefully calculating the funds you will need to build that dream, sacrificing planning and working to secure the needed funds only to hand over all that cash to some low budget builder that wants to cut corners and follows no blueprint. I am sure there have been many dreams drawn on the back of napkins in fact I take many notes that way however when it comes to actually getting the job done and seeing the finish product a success you need a plan. All too often the dream becomes a nightmare because we did not plan accordingly. Having a plan is vitally important in just about anything you do and a community is no different. I applaud Mark Mills and the folks that he has assembled in updating and really taking a fresh look at the Clinton County Comprehensive Plan. I believe that this will be an important tool as we move into future development here in Clinton County. I also believe that the Frankfort Comprehensive Plan of 2007 has great potential unfortunately we often bypassed this plan for different agendas. The time is now to plan for the future. We have great assets, amenities and opportunities in this county our biggest being its people and we need to recognize all that we are and can be and the best way to do that is to plan.
